This season opener features two salty works that take you from the South Pacific to the North Sea. You will have a brief layover in Brazil to rest your sea legs. But don’t get too comfortable, there are many more ports to visit before this trip is done!

This "Grand Finale" concert of the 2009/2010 season will be an extra special event. You will have a heart warming time while listening to spirited patriotic music of America. This program will feature a solo euphonium performance by Dr. Kenneth Kroesche, low brass professor at Oakland University. Three members of the cornet section  will show off their musical dexterity in a performance of Leroy Anderson's stimulating "Bugler's Holiday". You will be invited to join in the festivities, so bring all of your friends and neighbors to celebrate "The Spirit of America".

 

American Military Service Men and Women  The Oakland Brass Band invites all American military service men/women and their immediate family members to attend this event as honored guests. Upon providing their US military ID, the service person and their immediate family members will be admitted to the Spirit of America concert free of charge.
